Algorithm

An algorithm is a step-by-step, well-defined instruction set designed to process a calculated function.  Search engines, especially Google, make a point of always improving their website indexing algorithm in order to be able to provide users with appropriate results within hundredths of a second after a word or phrase is typed into the search engine browser page web address window. The search algorithm is influenced by a number of factors, some known to website promoters, and some kept secret by the search engine operators. The more professional and experienced that a website promoter is, the more he or she will know how to organically promote a website in the quickest, highest quality manner.
