During the last quarter of 2011, ArenaTurist, the leading hotel and vacation resort chain in Croatia, identified significant growth potential in their online sales. In order to realize this potential, ArenaTurist devised a diligent and meticulous process to find and recruit a company specializing in digital marketing. At the end of a very competitive process, Carmelon was chosen to lead digital marketing and online activities for ArenaTurist.
ArenaTurist, part of the Park Plaza Hotel Group, manages and operates 7 hotels, 5 vacation resorts and 8 camping sites in the cities of Pula and Medulin in Croatia.
In February 2012, Carmelon began its collaborative work managing ArenaTurist’s digital marketing, focusing on three of the company’s leading websites:
The activity focused on the following fields:
SEO – consultation and guidance in implementing changes in the websites in technical, general and content related areas, activity methods, keyword optimization, ranking reports and further improvements. Carmelon identified, proposed and implemented many changes and additions required by the goals set by ArenaTurist.
PPC – definition of objectives and goals, carrying out keyword research, developing and running campaigns, copywriting for ads, goal assessment and measurement, quotation management, landing page optimization, tracking conversions, and reporting.
Web Analytics – designing and producing custom detailed statistical reports, analyzing the website and the markets, and implementing KPI (Key Performance Indicators) oriented reports.
Since 2012, Carmelon’s activity with ArenaTurist was intensive and extremely successful. Ultimately, there was a 23% revenue increase from FIT orders made via the company websites (in comparison with 2011), and there was a 65% revenue increase solely from organic searches.
