Also known as ‘Blog Roll’, a Blog is actually somewhat of an online diary. In blogs, writers (called bloggers) can submit posts, opinions, journals, stories, articles, news, reviews and any other original content for readers to consume, and in most cases, follow each posting with a forum for subscribed readers to post their own responses and engage in online chats with the author and/or other respondents.
Blogs are usually maintained in dedicated websites, and while the more popular bloggers might enjoy a handsome income from the traffic and advertising revenue that their content might develop, anyone can open a blog for themselves as long as the website architecture supports blogging. They can post their content or opinion and watch the public commentary go in many expected and unexpected directions.
