Doorway page (bridge page, gateway page and jump page) is a page created and optimized specifically to rank well in search engines organic listings (non-paid) for particular keywords, and functions as an entry page where visitors pass to the main website.
This page provides very little information to viewers, and will often include a brief call to action (i.e., “Click Here to Enter”), or visitors may pass automatically to the website without noticing.
Search engines have guidelines against doorway pages, although they are more common in paid programs. Doorway pages have a bad reputation due to the abuse of spamming the search engines with machine-generated pages. Doorway page should not to be confused with Landing Pages.
