Duplicate Content

Duplicate content is content that repeats itself within a given website. Search engines, especially Google, are programmed to devalue duplicated content, and may be the cause for a website to drop in the rankings.

Dead/ Broken link

A broken link or dead link is a link on a web page that no longer works because the website is encountering one or more of these reasons: an improper URL entered, the website removed the page without redirecting (causing a 404 error), The website permanently moved or no longer available, the user has a firewall that blocks the website etc.

Domain

A domain is the private and unique name of a website. A domain’s name is usually comprised of a ‘www’ prefix, the name of the website (for example ‘domain’), and a suffix (for instance ‘com’), separated by ‘dots’ (the period punctuation mark).
