RSS feeds help promote and distribute information and content originating from a company’s website, in a simple, concise manner. This is a ‘push’ technology, sending articles, images and videos continuously and rapidly to subscribers.

After signing up as member on a website and installing the software, for instance – from a news website – users will regularly receive a concise concentration of all the website’s news articles in categories they select, and can also receive updates about other content that’s relevant to them.

An RSS feed likewise allows website administrators to automatically export their content to Facebook, Twitter and other networks as soon as it is available.
